Descriptions of Class Levels:
The Creative Ballet Level introduces ballet steps through pretend play and creative movement.
(30 minutes)
Level 1-2 Ballet includes instruction to the ballet barre and center, working on basic barre technique, learning basic ballet steps in center and learning to combine these steps.
(1 hour)
Level 3-4 Ballet includes instruction in intermediate classical ballet both at the barre and in center. Need preferably two years of Levels 1-2 instuction before entering into this level.
(1.5 hours)
Level 5-6 Ballet includes instuction in advanced classical ballet technique. Must have several years of classical ballet instruction. (1-2 hours)
Beginner Pointe (by teacher permission only) Students who have trained in classical ballet and are physically ready to go onto pointe may take this class. Pointe students may be given permission to take this class on demi-pointe which uses half-points on the balls of the feet instead of the toes.
(30 minutes)
Advanced Pointe is for students with a minimum of 2 years in Beginner Pointe. (1.5 hours)
Adult Ballet is a beginner to intermediate level class to educate in ballet technique and to become physically fit. (1 hour)
